Women's Group
The Risen Christ Women’s Group was formed in 2003. This group was formed in order to create a community for Risen Christ women through: · Service to women of the parish, the community, and the local needs of others · Educational activities · Building fellowship through social activities
The Women’s Group is open to any woman who is a member of the Risen Christ Catholic Community. We are intergenerational, with members ranging from young moms to seniors, and all ages in between. As a young organization, we are flexible and open to new ideas.
We have a self-directed team style. We work as a team to perform functions that were done by others outside
of the group in the past. A side benefit of membership is the developmental opportunity the Women’s Group offers for a member to implement a current skill
or engage in a “stretch objective” to develop skills and abilities.
When: Third Tuesday evening of every month at 7:00 p.m. Watch the bulletin for any changes or special events. Where: The social hall at Risen Christ. We sometimes gather for meetings/events elsewhere with prior notification.
We appreciate the talents and ideas that each woman brings to our group. We self-generate support activities, plans for future meetings, or future fund raisers/projects. From time to time, we have guest speakers who always provide interesting information relative to our daily lives. We always include time to socialize as well as treats.

Christmas family gift giving. Each year, the women’s group adopts families in need within the community in order to provide gifts and necessities. In 2006, we helped two families with children attending Desert Sage Elementary as well as provided socks, gloves, underwear and playground toys to the school.
